  • We (Christians) are to be servants.
  • Christ's coming means there is an opportunity for God's kingdom to grow.

  • There were two groups of Jews, those who spoke Hebrew and those who spoke Greek.
  • The Hebrew poor were taken care of first when the church distributed to the needy.
  • This could have split the church at that time.
  • The Apostles said they do not have time to distribute food.
  • Leaders must focus on just a few items or projects, Apostles must delegate to the deacons.
  • The Apostles would concentrate time on prayer and study.
  • Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch
  • The deacons would bring unity to the local church
  • Challenges can be opportunities as we see in Acts 6:7
  • The various callings are stated in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

  • Are we willing to do our part?
